Amrit Maghera is an Indian - English model, Actor, Singer and a Dancer from the United Kingdom. She has had formal acting training in London and has a first class degree in Drama and Dance.
She has trained professionally in many different styles of dance from a very young age such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Bollywood and Hip Hop.
She has done several stage shows (London Astoria, Birmingham NEC, and Wembley Arena) and on television (MTV) and for International artists such as Kayne West, Guns and Roses and Body Rockers.
She is also a professional singer and until very recently she had a record deal with EMI where she wrote and recorded her own album with girl band XSS. This album also featured a single with American rapper 'Coolio', which was released in Europe where they also completed a live tour together. Her band was also the supporting act for 'Akon' at the Hammersmith Palais in London.
Her modeling work in London includes print, ramp and commercials for brands such as Miss Sixty, Satya Paul, L'Oreal, Sketchers, Nokia and Olay.
She is now living in Mumbai and working as a model not to forget she is our new Anchor for the new show on Zee Café - "Top 10 Countdown".
She has participated in ramp shows for Marc Robinson and Alison Kanuga, shot for Designer, Neeta Lulla, done editorials for Seventeen magazine and also shot for a few catalogues.
She has acted in a music video for artist Omkar (scheduled for release End-July 07) and featured in some TV commercials.
She is an extremely fun loving person from a very big family in the UK. She believes that one should live life to the full. When she gets time from her busy schedule she likes to cook and got the Cinemas, especially in Bombay as it's much cheaper than London.
She loves to talk and sleep. Yes that's what she told us sleeping is indeed very important especially when you have to look fresh whilst you are shooting. She listens to loud music.
